The final Saturday of the 2021-22 SEC basketball regular season is here. All 14 conference teams are in action as seeding for next week’s SEC Tournament is sorted out.
No. 5 Auburn enters Saturday atop the standings at 14-3 in conference play. The Tigers, 26-4 overall, have already clinched a share of the regular-season title. Bruce Pearl’s squad can win it outright with a victory over South Carolina.
No. 7 Kentucky, No. 13 Tennessee and No. 14 Arkansas all enter Saturday’s slate 13-4 in SEC play. The Vols, a perfect 15-0 at home this season, host the Razorbacks, winners of 5 games in a row. John Calipari’s Wildcats, meanwhile, are on the road at Florida. Speaking of UF, Mike White’s Gators are on the NCAA Tournament bubble at 19-11 overall and 9-8 in conference play.
The latest March Madness bracketology projections have 6 SEC teams (Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU, Tennessee) in the tournament field of 68.
