Tennessee guard Clarence Massamba reportedly decides on future plans
Tennessee guard Clarence Massamba has reportedly decided to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
That news was first shared by On3’s Joe Tipton on Monday morning. The men’s basketball transfer portal will officially open on Tuesday.
Massamba played sparingly for the Vols during his freshman season in 2025-26. He appeared in just 12 games, scoring a total of 4 points on the season.

Massamba initially signed with Tennessee as a highly-touted international recruit. The former AS Monaco player was regarded as the No. 183 overall prospect in the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
Tennessee is expected to be active in the transfer portal this offseason as the Vols look to build out their 2026-27 roster. With Massamba transferring, Rick Barnes and his staff will have an additional scholarship to work with in the portal.
The Vols have already signed Belmont graduate transfer Tyler Lundblade for next season and are expected to make more additions in the coming weeks.
