Tennessee vs. Michigan: DFS picks, predictions for Elite Eight clash

It all comes down to this. Tennessee will battle Michigan in the Elite Eight on Sunday as the Volunteers are looking to clinch their first-ever trip to the Final Four.

To get there, Tennessee will have to beat the No. 1-seeded Wolverines, who are big favorites in this matchup.

Tennessee vs. Michigan DFS picks

Here are a couple of DFS picks to consider for this game on Underdog Fantasy:

JP Estrella, Tennessee: Higher than 9.5 points

While some teams have shrunk their rotations during the NCAA Tournament, JP Estrella has been playing his usual 20 minutes a night over the past couple of games. Estrella has been a very consistent scorer when he gets a normal minutes load this season. He has played 17 minutes or more in 20 games so far this year. Over that sample, heโ€™s scored in double digits in all but 3 of those contests. Overall, Estrella has scored 10+ points in 10 of his last 13 games. I think this projection is too low as heโ€™s averaging 11.6 points on 57% shooting over that span.ย

Morez Johnson, Michigan: Lower than 6.5 rebounds

I think this projection is too high for a few reasons. For one, Michigan center Aday Mara has been playing more minutes during the NCAA Tournament than he did during Big Ten play, which is certain to eat into Morez Johnsonโ€™s rebounding share. The Wolverines are also facing an elite rebounding team in Tennessee. The Vols are No. 1 in offensive rebounding rate at 45% and are decent on the defensive glass as well. Lastly, Tennessee plays at a much-slower pace than Michigan is used to, so there could be fewer possessions in this game, which means fewer rebounding opportunities.ย
