Todd Golden provides eligibility update for international commit Domen Petrovic

Todd Golden and the Florida Gators are gearing up for another run to the national championship this upcoming season, but there are still questions about what the roster will look like. There were also questions about whether international commit Domen Petrovic would be eligible this year, but Golden confirmed that Petrovic would be eligible to play on Wednesday.
Petrovic is a 6-foot-9 small forward who played for GGD ล encur for 3 seasons, where he became one of the better players in the league. In his last season, he averaged 16.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He also helped Slovenia to a silver medal in the 2024 FIBA U20 Eurobasket.
The Gators are looked at as one of the best teams in the country entering the 2026-27 season,with their starting lineup being one of the best in the country. They will be led by forward Thomas Haugh and center Rueben Chinyelu, who form one of the most dominating frontcourts in the country.
Also back is point guard Boogie Fland, who is one of the most experienced guards in college basketball.
Petrovic will not be called upon to come in and have a starring role, but his size and versatility could allow him to play a solid role on the team.
