The SDS crew is onsite this week in Hoover, Ala., covering the 2015 SEC Media Days. If you missed the coverage today, here’s your day 4 recap…
RELATED: Check out how the SEC Media predicted the SEC season to finish
Mark Richt The Statesman
KEVIN DUFFEY: Mark Richt entered Media Days for his 15th season as the head coach at Georgia with a very sleek hair cut. Like every other year, Richt was calm, cool and quite polished with his answers. Imagine if Richt were able to come into a Media Days after winning a national championship?

BRAD CRAWFORD: Is this Georgia’s year? Senior linebacker Jordan Jenkins seems to think so. He skipped out on a shot at the NFL to improve on his game and strengthen the preseason Eastern division favorites’ shot at Atlanta. “Every year, people always say ‘this is the time, this is the time,’ but it really feels like it, with the way we approach our workouts and our meetings,” he said. “Even when the coaches aren’t there, we’re still requiring everybody to go their hardest 100 percent of the time and just be attentive and recognize that in order to win, we have to start now.”

Miles Filibusters
KEVIN DUFFEY: What started off as some really entertaining and bizarre opening statements (what’s new?) by Les Miles, it turned into a ridiculously lengthy description of his team. He went through each position group providing way too many unnecessary details about the depth chart. C’mon Les, you’re better than this!
CHRISTOPHER SMITH: LSU’s Les Miles unleashed a long filibuster Thursday after updating all of us on his children’s summer happenings, presumably to avoid too many questions about losing John Chavis, offseason arrests and his team’s lousy quarterback play. Leonard Fournette inexplicably wore crimson-colored pants, a faux pas considering the presence of Alabama in the SEC West. Overall, the Tigers were a perfect fit for the end of the week here in Hoover, as everyone already is full of fatigued silliness.

BRAD CRAWFORD: Leonard Fournette’s an interesting guy. LSU’s sophomore running back, perhaps college football’s best at his position, kept a wide smile throughout Thursday’s appearance at SEC Media Days and praised Georgia’s Nick Chubb as, in his opinion, “hands down the SEC’s best back.” Asked about his bright red pants, the humble Fournette giggled: “They’re $6.99 at Dillards. You can buy them, too.”

Ole Miss Ready For Big Year
KEVIN DUFFEY: Freeze talked about a number topics ahead of the Ole Miss season. One item that stuck out to me was how he talked openly about how the team was deflated emotionally and physically after the Auburn loss / Laquon Treadwell loss. I said it at the time, that was one of the most brutal ways to lose a hugely meaningful game that I have seen. Freeze echoed that today.

NICK COLE: Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze was peppered with questions about his three-player quarterback battle, which he declared too close to call at this point. He said the competition could spill into the regular season as all three are likely to get a chance to show their ability in game circumstances. Freeze also expressed optimism about star WR Laquon Treadwell, saying he appears to be fully recovered from last season’s gruesome injury, has dropped some weight and looks even more explosive than before.
