The 2020 Major League Baseball Draft is officially in the books!

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the MLB Draft was shortened to just 5 rounds spanning Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully, at some point this year, the MLB will return to action, as it was postponed during spring training. The NCAA’s baseball season was also canceled due to COVID-19.

During Wednesday night’s first round, the SEC set a record with 3 of the top 5 picks. Arkansas’ Heston Kjerstad (Baltimore Orioles), Texas A&M’s Asa Lacy (Kansas City Royals) and Vanderbilt’s Austin Martin (Toronto Blue Jays) helped the conference make history.
