One of the top prospects in the Class of 2026 just whittled his offer list to 8, including 5 SEC programs.
The player in question is 5-star lineman Lamar Brown, who will decide between Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, LSU, Florida State, Miami and Florida A&M.
Brown plays for University Lab HS in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which would seem to give the Tigers a slight advantage. However, Brown has been on 2 visits since garnering his offers: to LSU and to Alabama.

The 6-4, 260-pound underclassman is an interesting prospect, as he can play both sides of the line at the high school level. He best projects as an offensive tackle according to 247Sports.
Brown is considered to be the No. 5 overall prospect in the Class of 2026, as well as the No. 1 OT and No. 1 prospect out of Louisiana.
