5-star Georgia RB commit addresses ACC team’s reported flip pursuit

Kemon Spell says he’s set on playing for the Georgia Bulldogs next year.
Spell is one of the top prospects in the Class of 2027. The elite running back from Pennsylvania verbally pledged to play for Kirby Smart‘s program back on Feb. 2.
Commitments, though, are not binding. Many recruitments are not over until the player signs with his future school.
On Wednesday, Rivals recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong shared the latest on Miami’s pursuit of Spell as the Hurricanes hope to flip him from his commitment to the Dawgs. Spell’s response should help UGA breathe easy, as he shot down the rumors and maintained that he will be a Bulldog.

Out of McKeesport (Pennsylvania) High School, Spell is listed as measuring 5-9 and 205 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Spell is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 running back, No. 2 player in Pennsylvania and No. 6 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
Spell has collected scholarship offers from 21 programs during his recruitment. He committed to Georgia over Miami, Penn State, Notre Dame and Ohio State.
The Bulldogs currently have 20 commitments for 2027. The class ranks No. 12 nationally on the Composite.
