Saturday was a bizarre day in college football. Miami fans caught a falling cat with an American flag. Jacksonville State won at Florida State.
But, there was another bizarre story unfolding at the Southern Miss-Grambling State game.
Per reporter Raymond Reeves, a tunnel was temporarily blocked during the third quarter while a woman gave birth at the stadium:
Something I didn't expect at the Southern Miss game today. Our tunnel was temporarily blocked off in the 3rd quarter. Was told a woman was giving birth.

Southern Miss went on to win the game, 37-0. No word on the woman or her newborn baby.
Perhaps the baby will be named after one of the players after this bizarre episode. That’s a true fan, there. And, a great story for the family about how they were born.
UPDATE: Apparently the baby wasn’t born at the stadium. The process started at the stadium, but the family was eventually able to make it to the hospital:
UPDATE:
I just reached out to Southern Miss, and was told that the baby was NOT, in fact, born AT the stadium. The family was able to make it to the hospital.https://t.co/kNnOyhuokq
