The ACC announced its preseason all-conference selections on Thursday, a list that contains a league-best 11 Clemson players.
Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik was voted as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year after an impressive junior season. The Austin, Texas native threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns versus just 6 interceptions as the Tigers won the conference championship game and made their seventh College Football Playoff appearance.
Klubnik was the overwhelming vote-getter with 146 votes for Player of the Year. Georgia Tech’s Haynes King received 9 votes to finish second. SMU’s Kevin Jennings received 5 and placed third in the balloting.
Joining Klubnik on the preseason all-conference team were his top two targets from 2024, Antonio Williams and Bryant Wesco Jr. Williams pulled in 75 catches for 904 yards and a league-best 11 touchdowns, while Wesco added 708 yards and 5 TDs on 41 receptions. Offensive linemen Blake Miller, Walker Parks, and Ryan Linthicum rounded out Clemson’s first-team picks on offense.
Defensively, six Tigers players were named to the list, including defensive end T.J. Parker (11.0 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss, 6 forced fumbles in 2024) and defensive tackle Peter Woods (3.0 sacks, 9 TFLs). Linebackers Wade Woodaz and Sammy Brown (163 tackles and 8.0 sacks combined) and cornerback Avieon Terrell (58 tackles, 2 interceptions, 12 passes defensed) were the other Tigers picks on defense.
The all-conference list comes a day after the league’s media voted Clemson as its preseason favorite, garnering a massive 167 votes. Miami was picked second while SMU came in third.
