After losing to Alabama, many wrote Texas A&M off when it comes to the College Football Playoff.

But the way Jimbo Fisher’s team is currently playing, you could certainly make the case that the Aggies are the best one-loss team in the nation.

While many believe that Texas A&M needs Alabama to win out to give the Aggies a shot at advancing to the Playoff, ESPN college football insider Heather Dinich made the case for Fisher’s team to get in the Playoff even if Florida wins the 2020 SEC Championship Game.

“They have an opportunity to sneak into the top four discussion and here’s why, consider this, Texas A&M runs the table, finishes the season with just one loss — a loss to Alabama,” Dinich said during an appearance on SEC Nation on Saturday.

“They have a win against Florida. That’s extremely important because if by chance, Florida wins the SEC East, beats Alabama to win the SEC Championship. You are talking about an Aggies team that has the best win in the country over the SEC champs and the best loss in the country, to Alabama.”
