AJ Brown’s sideline book jumps on best-seller list after in-game reading
AJ Brown is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. He can also be colorful, and he can also be intense.
On Sunday, during the Philadelphia Eagles’ wild-card victory over the Green Bay Packers, the former Ole Miss star was all of those things rolled into one. Brown didn’t have a big day on the field, catching just 1 pass for 10 yards. Ironically, he grabbed the national spotlight for something he was doing on the sideline.
Brown was just sitting there calmly reading a book for inspiration, which was a sight to behold amid the intensity of an NFL playoff game. Brown said afterward it’s something he’s done a lot this season, and now that book he was reading, titled “Inner Excellence” by Jim Murphy, has benefitted immediately. The book has skyrocketed overnight to being the hottest seller on Amazon.
Apparently, some very cool free advertising for the book got enough attention from the millions watching on Sunday to make headlines on Monday.
The book, which wasn’t well-known about 24 hours ago, is now the hottest thing going. It was listed at No. 1 on Amazon’s bestsellers list, as of Monday morning. And get this: the book took the top spot on the trending list after it was previously ranked 523,497th.
That’s about as big of a leap as you will ever see. It seems that a FOX camera catching the All-Pro receiver reading a book has changed everything, in the blink of an eye, without a word being spoken or a tackle being made.
