AJ McCarron expecting big win over Mizzou: ‘Alabama puts it on em’

AJ McCarron has seen Alabama grow throughout the year. After a Week 1 loss, fans in Tuscaloosa were calling for Kalen DeBoer to be fired and feverishly searching for how expensive a buyout would be.
Since then, the team has bounced back to win 4 straight games, including back-to-back wins against ranked teams in Georgia and Vanderbilt. The Crimson Tide are playing well, and have another big test on Saturday when they take on No. 14 Mizzou.
McCarron sees the Crimson Tide not only winning this game, but doing it in convincing style.
“I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Alabama puts it on ’em,” McCarron said on the McCready and Siskey Podcast. “I don’t think Missouri throws the ball that great with Beau Pribula. If you can stop Ahmad Hardy, I think they are super one-dimensional. I think Alabama will focus on the run and allow their secondary to man up and play free. Listen, I think Alabama, from an offensive standpoint, they are rolling right now. I think Vandy is a better team than Missouri.”
McCarron mentioned it, but one of the biggest battles in this game is the Missouri rushing attack against the Alabama rush defense. The Tigers’ offense runs through Ahmad Hardy, who leads the country with 730 yards on the ground. Mizzou quarterback Beau Pribula can also make plays with his legs, but he has thrown for 1,203 yards and nine touchdowns.
In what will be a massive game for Mizzou, the atmosphere in Columbia figures to be one of the best in school history. But Alabama has already gone on the road this season and knocked off a highly-ranked team. The Tide are a 3-point favorite on Saturday, per BetMGM.
