The University of Alabama has its first players in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, as quarterback Blake Sims and fullback Jalston Fowler have accepted their invitations.
Sims has completed 230 of 355 passes (64.8 percent) for a school-record 3,250 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has a passer-effciency rating of 161.9.
Fowler, who has primarily been a blocker this season, has 12 carries for 69 yards and nine receptions for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
Last year Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron didn’t play despite being from Mobile.
Both will play for the South team. The Senior Bowl will be played Jan. 24, 2015 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.
