Alabama is reportedly losing a defensive piece to the transfer portal.
Late Monday night, Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports reported defensive back Trey Amos is expected to enter the transfer portal. Amos began his career with 3 seasons at Louisiana, appearing in 33 games while in the program.
This past season, Amos appeared in all 14 games for the Crimson Tide and was among the team leaders in pass breakups. The secondary for Alabama has already taken a hit with Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry departing for the NFL Draft.

This past season, Amos finished the year with 12 tackles and 5 pass breakups for the Tide. He delivered a pair of pass breakups in the SEC Championship against Georgia and another in the Rose Bowl loss to Michigan. Nick Saban particularly praised Amos for stepping in and finishing the Tennessee game after an injury to Arnold.
For his career, Amos has 71 career tackles, an interception and 18 pass breakups. He will have one season of eligibility left at his next destination.
Transfer portal movement is expected during any coaching change, but Kalen DeBoer will need to make some moves to round out Alabama’s roster for the 2024 season. FanDuel North Carolina will be coming soon where fans will be able to follow all the latest trends and odds.
