Alabama parted ways with offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic after two seasons with the program. The Crimson Tide may now be focusing in on a replacement who’s currently in the Big Ten and brings NFL experience to the table.

Adrian Klemm, currently an offensive analyst at USC with over a decade and a half of coaching experience, is the Tide’s “prime target” to fill their vacant OL coach role, according to On3’s Pete Nakos and Chris Low.

Klemm just wrapped up his first season with the Trojans. That came after a brief stint as the offensive line coach for the New England Patriots in 2023.

The California native jumped into coaching after a seven-season NFL career that included three Super Bowl wins with the Patriots. He started at SMU as a graduate assistant in 2008 under his former head coach at Hawaii, June Jones, before being promoted to offensive line coach in 2009. Klemm added recruiting coordinator duties in 2011.

He then joined UCLA as run game coordinator and OL coach ahead of the 2012 season. From 2014-2016, he also served as the Bruins’ associate head coach.

Klemm eventually joined the NFL ranks as a coach, serving as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ assistant offensive line coach in 2019 and 2020 before being named OL coach in 2021. He returned to the college sidelines as Oregon’s OL coach and recruiting coordinator in 2022 before returning to the Patriots in 2023.
