Alabama picked up a big-time recruit in the class of 2026 on Friday evening.

The Crimson Tide earned a commitment from 3-star linebacker Zay Hall, adding to an already-elite high school recruiting class in this cycle.

Hall has recently received interest from programs like Virginia Tech and Memphis. He’s the No. 127 linebacker in the country for this recruiting cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 55 player from the state of Alabama.

For Kalen DeBoer and Co., this commitment means another in-state prospect who will be coming to Alabama next season. Of the 13 players currently committed to the Crimson Tide, 4 hail from Alabama.

Hall attends Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 222 pounds.

Alabama appears to be in the midst of building an elite recruiting class in 2026. The group ranks No. 10 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Alabama is expected to add even more talent to this class over the coming weeks and months ahead of the Early Signing Period in December.
