Alabama and Oklahoma fans both received some good news on the injury front on Tuesday night.

Alabama RB Jam Miller, who was hurt during the Iron Bowl and missed the SEC Championship Game, and Oklahoma defensive lineman R. Mason Thomas, who suffered a hamstring injury against Tennessee on Nov. 1, aren’t on the first player availability report ahead of the Crimson Tide and Sooners’ College Football Playoff first-round game on Friday.

Miller has totaled 493 yards and 3 touchdowns on 123 carries for the Tide in 2025. During the Tide’s last game against the Sooners on Nov. 15, he was held to just 27 yards on nine attempts. He had 15 carries for 83 yards before leaving against Auburn two weeks later.

Thomas has been a key run stopper for a Sooners team that’s allowed the fifth-fewest yards per game on the ground. The first-team All-SEC selection has 9.5 tackles for a loss, third among Oklahoma players. He also leads the team with 6.5 sacks.

The Tide and Sooners are set to meet for the third time in just over a year. During the Tide’s last trip to Norman in 2024, Jalen Milroe threw three interceptions as they fell 24-3.
