Alabama has gone from unbeaten national championship contender to a banged-up team just trying to survive October.
The Crimson Tide have suffered back-to-back losses to Georgia and Tennessee, leaving them at 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC as they try to pick up the pieces and get at least a little healthier with Texas A&M coming to Tuscaloosa in Week 8. The Aggies and No. 13 Tide will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC next Saturday, and for Alabama the 2026 season has become a fight for survival with 2 losses and with injuries mounting.
A struggling Texas A&M team might be the perfect remedy for Bama’s problems in Week 8. The Aggies brushed aside The Citadel on Saturday in a 41-0 blowout, but the reality is that Texas A&M sits at just 4-3 overall and is 1-3 in the SEC as it tries to get off the mat and make some noise this season.
The early line on the Texas A&M-Alabama matchup indicates a feeling that the Tide have a great chance to get healthy — at least on the scoreboard if not in the injury department — against the Aggies, with Circa Sports making Bama a 16.5-point favorite in its opening line that it revealed on Sunday afternoon.
With Bama trying to get off the canvas itself, like Texas A&M, the over-under total on the matchup between struggling programs was set at 52 points.
Here is the line for that game as well as all the opening lines for an action-packed Week 8 of the 2026 season:
While the early line points in Alabama’s way, here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the Crimson Tide’s chances to put an end to their 2-game skid next Saturday against the Aggies:
