Alabama reveals sport-by-sport profits and losses for 2024-25 fiscal year

Alabama is one of the most recognizable and most successful collegiate athletics programs in the country, and the profit and losses report for the 2024-25 fiscal year has now been revealed.
As you can expect, Alabama football was by far the biggest revenue generator for Alabama athletics, profiting just under $65 million. Nate Oats’ men’s basketball team also generated revenue for the program, taking home a little over $9 million. Every other sport, in some form or fashion, was a net negative, with baseball and women’s basketball leading the way at -$4.4 million and -$ 4.6 million, respectively.
In total, Alabama enjoyed a $33 million surplus, though it’s worth noting that Alabama received institutional support in preparation for the House settlement. This settlement went into effect last July and featured more than $20 million in revenue sharing.

It’s worth noting that Alabama athletics operated at a loss in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns, with the school attributing the 2023-24 loss to the transition from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer.
