Moore, an in-state product from Trussville, Ala., had 4 total tackles and 1 solo in last Saturday’s season-opening 55-0 pounding of Utah State at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Moore played in all 15 games last season, finishing with 17 tackles, including 2 for loss. He also had 1 interception, 1 quarterback hurry and 1 pass breakup.
Henderson is another former in-state phenom from Hartford, Ala. He didn’t find his way onto that stat sheet against Utah State but he has a bright future, being a 247Sports composite 5-star player who was ranked 39th nationally, the No. 2 running back overall and the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama.
Smith also wasn’t on last Saturday’s stat sheet but Nick Saban is just happy to have him with the program, as he flipped from Ohio State to Alabama despite being an Ohio product from Cincinnati. Smith was a 4-star prospect on the 247Composite and the No. 314 overall player.
