Rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper doesn’t think Pacman Jones should be suspended for Sunday’s dirty post-whistle play involving Cooper’s head being slammed against his helmet.

“Football is a physical game,” Cooper said after the game, according to CSN Bay Area. “Things like that happen. I feel like the refs didn’t see it well. If they did, they probably would’ve given a harsher penalty.”
Cooper, who caught five passes for 47 yards in his NFL debut, says the two were going at it throughout the game.
“We were just playing physical,” Cooper said. “I should’ve been playing physical. Honestly, I didn’t even know I hit my head on the helmet.”
Jones isn’t worried about any repercussions. He posted this locker room video on Instagram with the caption: “Lmao !! I love the game of football sorry if you mad or if you think I play with a chip on my shoulders !!! Look at the film’
It’s standard protocol for the NFL to review incidences such as this.
Fox Sports analyst Mike Pereira, the former NFL vice president of officiating, wrote on Twitter that Jones should’ve been ejected immediately and that he will undoubtedly be fined for his actions.
