On Thursday afternoon, LSU officially granted quarterback Anthony Jennings a release from his scholarship so that he could pursue graduate transfer opportunities this summer.

Not long after, the Marietta, GA, native published a heartfelt letter directed toward Tigers fans.

Jennings completed 111-of-227 (48.9 percent) of his pass attempts for 1,611 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions during the 2014 season. However, he lost an open competition with Brandon Harris prior to the 2015 season and did not record an attempt in any of LSU’s 12 games.

It is unknown at this point where Jennings will transfer.
