Anthony Richardson suffered a dislocated pinky against the Baltimore Ravens in preseason action on Aug. 7. But the Indianapolis Colts QB and former Florida star was back in practice a couple of days later and was ready to go for Saturday’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.

Any lingering effects of that injury weren’t evident on one particular throw late in the second quarter. With the Colts facing a 3rd-and-2 at their own 16 up 13-0 with just over a minute to play, Richardson unleashed a beautiful downfield pass to Anthony Gould for 38 yards. Take a look:

Unfortunately, the play didn’t stand thanks to an offensive offsides call. But it’s an example of what the Colts QB is capable of when he’s fully healthy.

The keyword is “if” as Richardson has struggled to stay off the injury list during his career. In 2023, he suffered a concussion in Week 2 but returned in Week 4. He then suffered a AC joint sprain in Week 5, ultimately ending his season.

In 2024, he missed 2 games after an oblique muscle injury and was later benched for a pair of games. Then, in 2025, a shoulder injury kept him out of minicamp.
