AP Men’s Basketball Poll, Dec. 26: 6 SEC teams included in updated top 25

The updated AP Men’s Basketball Poll has been released, and it was a good week for SEC teams as conference play kicks off on Wednesday.

The top 5 of Purdue, UConn, Houston, Kansas and Arizona stayed the same this week, but there was some movement elsewhere in the top 10.

A total of 6 SEC teams — No. 7 Tennessee, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Arkansas, No. 19 Kentucky, No. 20 Auburn and No. 21 Mississippi State — cracked the top 25 this week.

Mizzou is among the teams also receiving votes in this week’s poll.
