The AP Top 25, the final poll before conference championship week, is out, and it includes one big change in the top 5.
That, of course, is Texas A&M. The Aggies, ranked No. 3 since Week 9, slipped to No. 7 after a 27-17 loss to Texas in Week 14. Texas went up two spots to No. 14.
In all, eight SEC teams found themselves in the poll, with Ole Miss (No. 6), Texas A&M, Oklahoma (No. 8), and Alabama (No. 10) joining Georgia in the top 10.
The full top 5 is Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, Oregon, and Texas Tech. The Buckeyes, who snapped a four-game losing streak to Michigan, will take on the Hoosiers in the Big Ten Championship Game. The Ducks, whose next game will be in the College Football Playoff, went up a spot after a 26-14 road win at Washington. The Red Raiders went up two spots to No. 5 after obliterating West Virginia 49-0 in Morgantown and will now play BYU in the Big 12 Championship Game. Meanwhile, Georgia, which will meet Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, rose a spot to No. 3 after a win against Georgia Tech.
