Arkansas has announced a new field rush policy going into the 2025 season to align with the SEC‘s rules.

Under the new format, field rushing will be delayed for 3 minutes after a monumental victory to allow for the opposing team and officials to leave. Once that time period has lapsed, fans can head onto the field to bask in the victory with the Razorbacks.

The safety of our student-athletes and the student-athletes from the visiting institution is extremely important to all of us,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said. “By implementing this new policy we are allowing the visiting team to clear the field so our fans can safely join our team on the field to celebrate the big win. We look forward to our fans and students complying with this policy the first time we get to implement it so we can all enjoy a huge win.

Last season, Arkansas fans rushed the field after the defeating No. 4 Tennessee at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

As part of the SEC’s revised field rushing policy, there’s a $500,000 fine spanning all sports. The money absorbed from fines goes to the road team’s university for conference games and to the opposing league office for non-conference games.

Arkansas begins the season with a home matchup vs. Alabama A&M on Aug. 30 (4:15 p.m. ET/SEC Network).
