Arkansas has a new defensive backs coach, and it’s a former Big 12 head coach.

According to FootballScoop.com, the Razorbacks have pegged former Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads to fill the staff’s vacancy coaching the secondary in Fayetteville.

Rhoads had been the head coach of the Cyclones since 2009 before being fired last season. He coached his last game against West Virginia on Nov. 28, a 30-6 loss to the Mountaineers.

Prior to that, Rhoads was the defensive coordinator at Auburn in 2008.
