The Arkansas Razorbacks fired head coach Sam Pittman on Sunday following their 56-13 loss to Notre Dame this weekend. Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino was named the interim head coach, and he’s already making changes to the Razorbacks staff.
Petrino is parting ways with 3 defensive coaches, including defensive coordinator Travis Williams, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Williams has been the defensive coordinator since the 2023 season and was a Broyles Award nominee in both 2023 and 2024.
Co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson and defensive line coach Deke Adams have also been dismissed.
Arkansas has now lost 3 games in a row. After starting the season 2-0, Arkansas dropped close games to Ole Miss and Memphis before getting blown out by Notre Dame.
The Razorbacks will be on a bye this weekend, but after their bye, it doesn’t get any easier. They’ll take on No. 15 Tennessee in Neyland Stadium and follow that by hosting No. 6 Texas A&M.
