Auburn adds 2027 commitment from DB out of Maryland

Auburn has a new pledge in its 2027 recruiting class.

Kynair Crumb is the newest Auburn commitment. He announced his plans to play for Alex Golesh‘s program on Wednesday during an appearance with CBS Sports.

Out of Hyattsville (Maryland) DeMatha Catholic High School, Crumb is listed as measuring 6-feet and 200 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Crumb is rated 3-stars, the No. 12 player in the state of Maryland, No. 48 safety and No. 515 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

Crumb has collected 20 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Wisconsin, Iowa, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and Vanderbilt were among the programs to show interest. For Wednesday’s announcement, Crumb chose Auburn over Penn State, Virginia Tech and Colorado.

With Crumb on board, Auburn is up to 19 verbal commitments for 2027. The class currently ranks No. 14 nationally on the Composite.
