Auburn is looking to bounce back after a tough Week 8, as the Tigers lost at home to LSU. It was a setback after the Tigers got the big Week 7 upset over Georgia. For Alex Golesh‘s team, the Tigers are searching for consistency in his first year as the coach.

Up next for the Tigers is a road game against an Ole Miss team that is coming off a disappointing loss of its own to Texas.

As the Tigers prepare to hit the field on Saturday, they have announced their captains in Week 9. Byrum Brown, Hudson Kaak, Kenneth McManus IV, Elijah Melendez and Cody Digler will represent the program this week.

If the Tigers are going to pull another big road upset, then they are going to need to be able to run the ball. In the loss to LSU, the Tigers were able to get only 66 yards on 35 carries. Quarterback Byrum Brown led the team with 19 carries for 20 yards.

When the Tigers offense is at its best, they are able to run the ball. With a dual-threat quarterback like Brown, the play-action game is a huge part of the Auburn offense.

On defense, Elijah Melendez will play a huge role in this game. He leads the team in tackles, and he will be a vital part of making it difficult for Trindad Chambliss.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET, and the game is on the SEC Network.
