Deuce Knight has found a new home in the SEC. The Auburn transfer quarterback has committed to Ole Miss, he told Hayes Fawcett of On3.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for Knight, who is from Lucedale, Mississippi. The former George County standout will be back in his home state, as he continues his college football career playing for Pete Golding‘s Rebels.

Out of high school, Knight was rated 5-stars, the No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi, No. 5 quarterback and No. 28 prospect overall in the Class of 2025 on the 247Sports Composite. As a transfer, 247Sports rates him the No. 7 QB and No. 19 overall.

At Ole Miss, Knight will have 4 remaining seasons of eligibility. He is able to redshirt for the 2025 season because he played in just 2 games for Auburn.

Knight made his debut against Ball State in September. In November, interim coach DJ Durkin gave Knight the start against Mercer so Ashton Daniels could preserve his redshirt.

Knight dazzled in his start against Mercer, accounting for more than 401 total yards, throwing for 239 yards and rushing for 162 yards. His rushing performance was best by an Auburn QB since Nick Marshall in 2013. Knight tied a program record with 6 total touchdowns (4 rushing, 2 passing) and earned SEC Freshman of the Week.
