Auburn wide receiver arrested on domestic violence charge

Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons was arrested on Wednesday for a domestic violence incident.
Wednesday evening’s jail records indicated Simmons was facing a charge of domestic assault with strangulation or suffocation.
Auburn WR Malcolm Simmons was arrested this evening at 6:20 PM on domestic assault charge, by strangulation or suffocation, per jail records.

His bond is $20,000

In a statement, Auburn said it was aware of Simmons’ arrest and was gathering the facts of the situation.

On Thursday morning, Simmons was no longer listed in the Lee County database.

Simmons arrived at Auburn in 2024. As a true freshman, Simmons had 40 catches for 451 and 3 touchdowns, ranking 5th all-time among freshmen receivers in the program.
