Auburn will have the last chance to impress Under Armour All-American WR Ja’Marr Chase
Many assume Louisiana native Ja’Marr Chase will stay home and play for LSU. While that certainly may be the case, Auburn will have the last chance to change his mind this weekend as he is set to visit the Plains.
The 2018 Under Armour All-American hasn’t taken an official visit since his trip to Baton Rouge two weeks ago. Since that time, Chase has announced LSU and Auburn are his two finalists. He also indicated he will make his final decision on National Signing Day between the two schools.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound receiver is ranked as the nation’s No. 15 receiver and the No. 81 overall prospect in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings. While Auburn did sign two receivers during the early signing period, Chase would be the top-ranked pass catcher to join the 2018 recruiting class if he signed with the Tigers.
For what it’s worth, Chase seems excited about his upcoming trip to Auburn:
