Ja’Marr Chase has made a decision.

No, he’s not ready to announce where he will sign but he has announced his destination will either be Auburn or LSU. He also plans to sign February 7, on National Signing Day during ESPNU’s coverage of the college football “holiday.”

Ranked as the No. 81 overall prospect in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings, Chase has long been assumed to be a heavy LSU lean. The Louisiana native and 2018 Under Armour All-American has been one of LSU’s top targets for some time. Ed Orgeron even teased the LSU fan base that the program expects to add another premier receiver to the 2018 recruiting class. Most assume Chase is that player.

While that very well could be the case, Chase is taking an official visit to Auburn this weekend. Who knows how that visit could affect his decision. Also, the turnover on LSU’s offensive staff may be concerning to a prospect of Chase’s caliber.
