Jackson Arnold went to Auburn looking for a fresh start after an up-and-down first two seasons at Oklahoma. He got off to a solid start early this season, but the honeymoon ended after a terrible first half at Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon.
While he had shown the ability to run the ball well, the Tigers just haven’t been able to attack opposing defenses throwing the ball down the field.
With his struggles in the game, fans are calling for him to go to the bench, clamoring for 5-star freshman Deuce Knight to get into the game.
The fans have already been excited for Knight at the quarterback position, as he was huge signing for the Tigers. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he was the No. 5 quarterback in the class, and No. 28 player overall.
Besides the play of Arnold, fans aren’t thrilled with the play-calling of Freeze. This is a pivotal third year for Freeze, and a move could be coming at the quarterback position. Making a move now may seem premature, but there isn’t a ton of life or explosiveness on offense, and Knight could provide some of what the Tigers offense is missing.
