Bill Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson has been a significant talking point during his first offseason as North Carolina’s head football coach.

The off-the-field distractions have increased in recent weeks with reports of Hudson being banned from UNC’s football facility following an awkward CBS interview. On Tuesday, Belichick addressed the situation head-on.

“Really, off to the side, itโ€™s a personal relationship,” Bill Belichick said. “She doesnโ€™t have anything to do with UNC football. Iโ€™m excited to be back in the coaches meetings and getting ready for June and then August when we get to training camp.”

Here’s a clip from his comments on ESPN:

Hudson appeared in a Super Bowl ad with Belichick earlier this year. While a report from Pablo Torre suggested she has been banned from UNC’s football facility, North Carolina released a statement refuting that report over the weekend. Torre stood by his reporting.

Belichick is in his first offseason as a college football coach. North Carolina has invested significant resources into its roster for the 2025 season. The Tar Heels have a transfer portal class that ranks No. 9 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Carolina will open the 2025 season against TCU on Sept. 1.
