Billy Napier says Florida will tweak travel schedule to fix road woes

Billy Napier and Florida (4-2, 2-1) will take on South Carolina (2-3, 1-2) in Week 7. The Gators are coming off a 38-14 victory against Vanderbilt which came after a 33-14 loss at Kentucky.
The Gators are 0-2 on the road this season, with the other defeat being a 24-11 result in the opener at Utah. South Carolina is 2-0 at home this season with victories against Furman and Mississippi State.
During a recent press conference, Napier admits that Florida has to bring a more focused approach in order to alleviate its road woes.

“We have to accept the challenge and go out and play better on the road,” Napier said.
Napier added that the Gators will arrive earlier than usual in Columbia on Friday, as well as getting to the stadium sooner on Saturday, plus focusing on getting better sleep on Wednesday.

Florida quarterback Graham Mertz completed 30 of his 36 passes for 254 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions in the victory vs. Vanderbilt. Arlis Boardingham caught 7 receptions for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns. Montrell Johnson Jr. rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown.
South Carolina most recently lost 41-20 at Tennessee on Sept. 30.
Florida leads the all-time series 30-10-3 against South Carolina and won last season’s meeting 38-6 in Gainesville. Florida at South Carolina is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EST kickoff (SEC Network).
