Bradley Beal, Wizards expected to mutually pursue trade in event of roster reset, per report

Bradley Beal, a former Florida basketball standout and current NBA veteran, has spent the entirety of his 11-year career in Washington with the Wizards.
Let’s not sugarcoat things: The Washington Wizards have been perhaps the most unserious franchise in American professional sports across the past few seasons.
Beal has seen 5 straight losing seasons in Washington and their best season came in 2017 when the Wizards failed to make it past the Eastern Conf. Semis after posting a 49-33 record. In other words, a change in scenery has been necessary for some time now.
That might soon be coming, too. According to a report from Shams Charania, the Wizards and Beal are expected to mutually pursue a trade should the team decide to overhaul their roster.
And if that info is being reported – while also taking into account the current state of the Wizards franchise – it’s not a lot to expect Beal to be playing elsewhere in 2023-24.

Beal is starting to drop in efficiency slightly, but he’s still good for 20-25 points a game each and every night, something a lot of contenders could surely use. Last season he averaged 23.2 points per game, 5.4 assists per game and 1 steal per game.
Where would be a preferred landing spot for Beal if not Miami? Reminder: Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, which means he can veto being traded to a certain team if he prefers.
