Arkansas was the last SEC team to hold their spring game on Saturday, but head coach Bret Bielema rewarded fans for their patience with the announcement of the team’s 2017 captains.
Bielema made the official announcement via his Twitter among the weekend’s spring game festivities:
Proud to announce our team voted captains for the 2017 season: @austinallen8, @KNARFWONGAR, @K_Rich30 & Santos Ramirez. #WoooPig
— Bret Bielema (@BretBielema) April 29, 2017
The Twitter handles tagged are of senior QB Austin Allen (no surprise there), senior center Frank Ragnow, and senior cornerback Kevin Richardson II, with redshirt junior defensive back Santos Ramirez listed by name.
On an Arkansas team that is losing a large senior class, these leaders will be leaned upon to guide Razorback football in what will be the final season for most of them.
