LSU coach Brian Kelly had positive news on Nic Anderson after the transfer wide receiver’s car accident earlier this month.

Meeting with the media on Wednesday, Kelly said that Anderson has cleared concussion protocol and will be allowed to be a full participant starting Thursday.

We kept him out of contact today,” Kelly told reporters, per TigerDroppings. “He had gone through our concussion protocol after being involved in a little fender bender, but he has cleared our protocol. Today was his day of non-contact; he’ll be able to get into 11-on-11s and 7-on-7s tomorrow.

After missing all but 1 game of the 2024 season due to injury, Anderson transferred from Oklahoma to LSU. He was limited in LSU’s spring practice due to a hamstring issue.

Anderson is hoping to get back to his 2023 form. In his last full season, Anderson was OU’s co-leader in receiving touchdowns with 10 and second on the team in receiving yards with 798 on 38 receptions, an average of 21 yards per catch. Anderson’s 10 TD catches were the most by an Oklahoma freshman in program history.
