Bryan Harsin situation: ESPN insider shares Auburn AD Allen Greene’s message to Tiger players

The college football world is on Bryan Harsin Watch with uncertainty surrounding the Auburn football coaching situation. Auburn athletic director Allen Greene met with some players on Friday, ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel relayed on Twitter.
Citing a source, Thamel tweeted, “Auburn AD Allen Greene met with seven or eight veteran players this evening to address the uncertainty around Bryan Harsin’s future. He delivered a simple message — stay the course and control what you can control, as there’s no clarity. Team operating as normal.”
As numerous Harsin-related reports made the rounds, Auburn players past and present took to social media to weigh in on the coach and the state of the program. Some players called out Harsin’s treatment of his players, while others have defended the current head coach.
Harsin told ESPN’s Chris Low in a Thursday night interview, “I’m the Auburn coach, and that’s how I’m operating every day. I want this thing to work, and I’ve told our players and told everybody else there is no Plan B. I’m not planning on going anywhere. This was and is the job.”
Low, considered one of the top SEC football insiders, appeared on “The Paul Finebaum Show” Friday. Low told Finebaum, “I think that ultimately what’s going to happen with Bryan Harsin is he will not be back next year as head football coach.” Low went on to name potential candidates if Auburn parts with Harsin during his “Finebaum” appearance.
