The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs are set for their annual showdown against the No. 17 Florida Gators on Saturday afternoon, a matchup that could have major implications for both teams heading into November.
The Dawgs are currently riding a five-game winning streak against their hated rivals from down south, but the Gators have built some serious momentum under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall after knocking off a top-10 Texas squad a couple of weeks ago.
This latest clash between two traditional SEC foes has the makings of another tightly contested battle, and the guys from Bussin’ With the Boys made their picks against the spread ahead of kickoff on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Pate took the Gators to cover the 11.5-point spread, citing his personal model, which doesn’t favor Georgia to win by such a large margin. Former Pro Bowl offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, however, picked the Bulldogs to cover, explaining that he likes Gunner Stockton coming off a loss and a bye week.
Former Nebraska and NFL linebacker Will Compton served as the deciding vote, siding with Lewan and Georgia. Compton described Florida as an “overrated SEC team” at this point in the season and said he too likes Kirby Smart and the Dawgs coming off a loss.
This rivalry has produced some extremely competitive matchups over the past few years, so it will be interesting to see how Saturday’s showdown plays out and whose prediction ultimately proves correct.
