CFB fans were not here for halftime show with Imagine Dragons and Lil Wayne

The halftime show for Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game wasn’t even at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
No, instead, Imagine Dragons took the stage alongside Lil Wayne more than 40 miles north of the stadium in San Francisco, and honestly, it’s probably a good thing they weren’t at the stadium.
That’s because, while both musical acts are very popular, college football fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the show. Imagine Dragons has had an ESPN college football theme song for what seems like forever, and there’s some definite fatigue from fans regarding them.
As you can see below, fans took to Twitter to blast the not-so-great performance that wasn’t even in Santa Clara:
โImagine dragons ft. Lil Wayneโ
Im good Iโd rather watch my team lose by 15 thank you.

Even Imagine Dragons didn't want to attend this game. The show is an hour away from the stadium

Iโm not sure what Iโm more tired of Clemson vs Bama or Imagine Dragons being the ESPN theme song for the last 2 CFB seasons.

It just occurred to me there are people that hear the beginning of an Imagine Dragons song and think โhooray an Imagine Dragons song.โ
Iโm shook.

Wow…some musical groups should stick to the recording studio. Some music is not made for live performances. I like Imagine Dragons, but…ouch. #CFPChampionship

Okay I am done with you Imagine Dragons please leave the stage #CFBChampionship
