Coaches Poll: Texas tops preseason top 25 featuring 9 SEC teams

The 2025 college football season is almost here! On Monday, the Coaches Poll released its preseason top 25.
Nine SEC teams are ranked in the Coaches Poll to open the 2025 campaign. Texas, widely considered the favorite in the SEC, starts the year ranked No. 1 by the coaches. Georgia is also in the top 5, while Alabama and LSU make the top 10. South Carolina, Ole Miss, Florida and Tennessee all make the top 20. Texas A&M is tied for No. 21 with Iowa State.
