College football bowl game rescheduled, relocated due to stadium renovations

The new site of the Bahamas Bowl due to renovations to Thomas Robinson Stadium has been announced.
Action Network’s Brett McMurphy is reporting that the Dec. 18 bowl game will be moved to Charlotte’s on-campus stadium. McMurphy additionally reveals that the Myrtle Beach Bowl will be switched from Dec. 18 to Dec. 16 . This will accommodate ESPN’s production crew to cover both bowls.

The Bahamas Bowl was originally slated for Dec. 16 before the location switch.
Thomas Robinson Stadium will undergo renovations after the Bahamian government determined it was necessary to fix all the lingering safety issues at the venue.
The Bahamas Bowl has been around since 2014, with conference tie-ins for Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference. Middle Tennessee, UAB, and Toledo have made the most appearances, all with 2 apiece.
UAB defeated Miami (OH) 24-20 in last season’s edition, with wide receiver Trea Shropshire as Offensive MVP and linebacker Michael Fairbanks II as Defensive MVP.
