GameDay is in Bloomington on Saturday for Indiana’s Week 9 contest against Minnesota. This is the third time since GameDay’s inception that it will make the trip to Bloomington. ESPN’s flagship pregame show was also there in 2017 and in 2024, but did not go last season amid IU’s undefeated campaign.

Thomas is regarded as one of the best Indiana Hoosiers of all time. After winning the Most Outstanding Player award at the 1981 NCAA Tournament, Thomas was selected No. 2 overall by the Pistons and spent his entire 14 year career with the franchise.

Thomas also later coached the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks following a career that saw him make 12 All-Star teams. His No. 11 jersey is retired by the Pistons.

Saturday’s edition of College GameDay will begin at 9 a.m. ET in Bloomington.
