For the first time since 2010, College GameDay is making the trek up to Boise, Idaho to cover the Boise State Broncos.
The Broncos are 8-1 and looking to become the G6 representative in the College Football Playoff, set to face an Oregon State squad featuring one of the best G6 quarterbacks in the country, Braden Atkinson.
Interestingly, Boise State faced off against Oregon State during College GameDay’s last trip to Boise.
The No. 3 Broncos took down No. 24 Oregon State 37-24 behind efforts from QB Kellen Moore, RB Doug Martin and WR Austin Pettis. To continue this stroll down memory lane, that Boise State team finished the season 12-1 with a 26-3 Las Vegas bowl victory over Utah — their lone loss came at the hands of No. 19 Nevada in Reno.
This season, Boise State is looking to recapture some of that 2010 magic. The Broncos’ lone loss is to Oregon, which beat Boise State 34-27 in a game that came down to the wire. Led by star RB Dylan Riley and QB Maddux Madsen — who missed last week’s win over Colorado State — the Broncos control their own destiny in the race for the G6 Playoff spot. They were the only ranked G6 program entering Week 10’s slate.
Saturday’s battle between Boise State and Oregon State is set to start at 6 p.m. ET on USA Network. College GameDay, as always, is set to kick off at 9 p.m. ET Saturday morning.
