ESPN’s College GameDay was live from Bloomington, Indiana, on Saturday morning ahead of a Big Ten showdown between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

It was a bit of a lackluster slate of games, so there weren’t many exciting options to choose from for the popular pregame show. But when the slate looks weak, we’re usually guaranteed to see some chaos.

This week, the GameDay crew of Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit was joined by Indiana (and NBA) legend Isiah Thomas to pick winners for some of the biggest games of the weekend.

Howard picked Arkansas (+10) over Mizzou as his superdog selection.

Here’s a look at how the crew picked some of the biggest SEC games on the pared-down slate:

No. 17 Florida vs. No. 3 Georgia (in Atlanta)

  • Desmond: Georgia
  • Saban: Georgia
  • McAfee: Georgia
  • Thomas: Georgia
  • Herbstreit: No pick (he’s calling the game)

Auburn at No. 12 Ole Miss

  • Desmond: Auburn
  • Saban: Ole Miss
  • McAfee: Ole Miss
  • Thomas: Ole Miss
  • Herbstreit: Ole Miss

Steve Young went a perfect 10-0 during his celebrity guest picker appearance, so Thomas will only be able to match that.

Will the GameDay crew be proven right? Or will we see another weekend of utter chaos? We’ll find out the answer over the course of an exciting Week 9 in the college football world!
