College GameDay had its final episode of the 2025-26 season on Monday afternoon in Miami Gardens.
The crew is on hand at Hard Rock Stadium for Miami vs. Indiana in the National Championship. The Hoosiers are significant favorites in the betting markets. They’re favored by 7.5 points over the Hurricanes as kickoff approaches.
However, most of the College GameDay desk picked Indiana to take home its first-ever national title. Here’s how the panel picked this game:
- Desmond Howard: Miami
- Nick Saban: Miami
- Marcus Freeman: Miami
- Pat McAfee: Indiana
McAfee was the only panelist to pick the Hoosiers, which wasn’t a surprise given his connection to the state of Indiana. McAfee played for the Indianapolis Colts for his entire NFL career.
Freeman joined the desk as a guest picker and went with the Canes. His Notre Dame team lost to Miami earlier this season and will play the Hurricanes again in 2026.
Here’s a clip of the pick segment:
Indiana is looking to make history as the first team to go undefeated during the 12-team College Football Playoff era. Miami, meanwhile, it looking for its first National Championship in more than 2 decades under head coach Mario Cristobal.
